Marketing is one of the determining factors for the success of any business. The customers require a constant supply of information about the goods and services that the business stocks. There are several means of promoting and services, but the choice of the marketing strategy to use depends on the type of good or services, the targeted market, the size of the business, and the profit that business can yield. Small businesses do well with marketing strategies such as use of posters, billboards, and mobile marketing.

Mobile marketing is the process of relaying information about the goods and services to the customers using mobile devices such as cell phones. It involves reaching the customers through wireless networks. There are several tips that can boost small businesses through mobile marketing:

1. Mobilise Website:

Due to the fact that many customers use websites to search for goods and services, a business website should be designed in such a way that it contains information about the business including the business owner’s mobile number or active customer service number. This helps to ensure that the customers can get in touch with the business in case he or she wishes to purchase goods or services.

2. Use Social Media:

Social media may not seem professional in any way, but if used constructively can be of great value to any small business. Most of the customers who are regular at the small business premises are major visitors at the social media, so the business owner can reach many customers easily through social media platforms. Social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter are also designed in such a way that mobile number can also be incorporated so that the customer can reach the business owner immediately if for any requirement of goods/service from the business owner.

3. Multimedia Messaging Services (MMS):

It involves sending of messages or pictures through mobile phones to the customers. If used wisely it can reach many customers. The message may include pictures of the goods; any new good can be effectively marketed through MMS.
