I am working on the local search engine for my company. I have seen lots of my competitors over the years with good amount of success and that certainly make me amazed. The difference i found that the count of reviews. This is the major part when it comes to the SEO, any part of SEO does comes with the quantity and quality of the content. Local search which is the ultimate showcase where an user can get to see the ratings and reviews about certain business and then select.

Generally you will see that an local search comprises with the business address, phone numbers with the map. but there are very ratings and reviews which effects the minds of the user to think again. The best part is that you can see the trends over the time so that you get an idea how that business goes on. There are many honest reviews and ratings that really helps the people. But some odd bad reviews can make things worse for the businesses on local search.

The power of content does affects the local search ranking in the search engines. The reviews will definitely helps the ranking factors of SEO. It will rank better in to the search engines if that business has good amount of reviews. Which will ultimately help the users.
